Members of the public can ask 1 question of Members of the Council at meetings of Full Council only and are allowed up to 3 minutes to ask their question. There will be a maximum of 5 questions at each Full Council meeting. A question can only be asked if notice has been given by sending it to the Joint Chief Executive, copied to memberservices@rochford.gov.uk no later than midday 3 working days before the meeting (Note: this does not include the day of despatch of a report setting out such a public question or the day of the meeting of Full Council). The notice must include the name and address of the questioner; the name of the Member of Council to whom the question is directed, and be relevant to items on the agenda for that meeting of Full Council. No supplmentary questions may be asked.

Welcome to the Council Committee Management Information System (CMIS).

Here you are able to find out about decision making and individuals who represent you.

Decisions can be made by the Executive (8 Executive Members either meeting as a whole or making individual (Portfolio Holder) decisions), the Council (all Members meeting as a whole) or by a Committee/Sub-Committee.

If you are interested in finding out about a decision made by an individual Portfolio Holder go to the Decisions link.  If you want a decision made by Full Council, the Executive or a Committee/Sub-Committee go to the Meetings link and look under the appropriate meeting.

Please note that all public Agendas, Minutes and decision documents are available from 1 January 2001 onwards. Prior to this time, extracts from the Council's Minute Books are available for each calendar year (1973 - 1999 inclusive). These records are fully searchable. Some Minute extracts are large and may take time to load.

Rochford District Council is made up of 12 Conservatives, 9 Liberal Democrats, 7 Rochford District Residents, 5 Independent & Green, 3 Rochford District Independents, 2 Independent Conservatives and 1 Non-Group Member.
